Can I pick up my packet Sunday morning or have it mailed?

You cannot pick up your packet on race day. Packets will NOT be mailed. Packets MUST be picked up at the Expo/packet pick up on Saturday 12/9/23.

Can I defer or transfer my entry?

We do not offer participant transfers or refunds under any circumstance.

Runners may defer the original registration one time. BCS runners have the option to defer their original registration to the next year’s marathon or half. Deferring an entry guarantees a spot to re-register in the following year’s marathon by waiving participation in the current marathon or half. The registration you paid for this year’s race will then get you into next year’s race. Deferrals are allowed until noon on  November 10, 2023. Deferrals will not be allowed after this date for any reason, including medical reasons

Can I use headphones?

We think your experience and that of those around you will be greatly enhanced by leaving the headphones at home or in the car. Running headphone-free allows opportunities to relate with your fellow runners and to better enjoy everything the race has to offer. Plus, volunteers and spectators will be on course cheering you on and providing directions to help get you to the finish line.

However, the final choice is yours. Runner safety is and will always be a top priority at our race.

Can I switch from one race distance to another?

Runners may switch between races (i.e. from the marathon to the half marathon or vice versa) up until one month before race day (November 10th) for a fee of $15. No official distance switches are available after the November 10 deadline. If you switch during the run, you may not receive the finish medal or shirt until those who finish the proper distance all receive theirs.
